Age of Entry
Our age cut-off for classes is May 31 and we consider "spring babies" (born between the months of March and May) carefully for class placement. An extra year at home or in a home-based child care setting can be an important, life-long gift for young children. Likewise, an extra year of kindergarten or elementary class placement in a lower grade level can be beneficial for a child who would otherwise be "the youngest" in all of their future classes. For the 2008-2009 school year, children must be six years old by May 31, 2008 to be considered for the September 2008 Grade One class. We consider applications for children into our mixed-age Kindergarten who are ages 4 to 6 by September 2008, with the occasional 3 ½ year old placement.

Application Season and Waitlists
Three Cedars accepts applications for admission year-round, and generally it is advisable to apply no later than January for the coming school year. Once a student is accepted to the school, placements are offered according to waitlist priority. In cases where a space is not available at the time of acceptance, parents may opt to defer enrolling their child until a space becomes available, either mid school year or at the beginning of the following school year.

After-Care
An After School Child Care program is available for TCS mixed-age kindergarten students (12:30 PM to 3:15 PM or 5:30 PM) and for TCS elementary students (3:15 PM to 5:30 PM) on days that school is in session. Three Cedars does not offer child care during school breaks or summer vacation.
